The 'May Day Spirit' in Yarn: Resilience, Connection, and Inheritance

The characteristics of yarn are just like the character of a worker:

Resilience - even the finest thread can withstand pulling, just like perseverance in ordinary positions;

Connection - a single yarn may seem insignificant, but intricate threads can weave into fabric and weave into a net, just like the power of teamwork;

Inheritance - From the knitting taught by my grandmother to modern textile techniques, the craft has been passed down from generation to generation.

The gentle breeze of May brushed by, and the Labor Day holiday arrived as scheduled. On this festival belonging to workers, we sing praises to sweat and hands, but often overlook those tiny but indispensable objects - yarn. It is as ordinary as dust, yet weaves the warmth of life; It is as thin as a hairpin, yet it connects countless stories of laborers.

Yarn: the "first strand of fiber" of human civilization

As early as ancient times, humans began twisting plant fibers to create the first "yarn". The evolution of yarn from animal skins to fabrics, from hemp ropes to silk, is an epic of labor wisdom.

-7000 years ago, ancient Egyptians used linen gauze to weave cloth and wrap mummies;

-5000 years ago, the Chinese ancestors domesticated wild silkworms, spun silk into threads, and wove magnificent silk;

-After the Industrial Revolution, machine spinning replaced manual labor, and yarn began to be produced on a large scale, bringing clothing into the homes of ordinary people.

Yarn is one of the earliest handmade products of humanity and the best witness of how labor changes lives.

Behind the yarn are the hands of countless laborers

Every yarn condenses the sweat of countless people:

-Cotton farmers pick cotton peaches under the scorching sun,

-Textile workers operate roaring machines in the workshop,

-Craftsmen crochet sweaters, scarves, carpets with each stitch and thread

On modern assembly lines, the production of yarn has long been highly automated, but "people" are still the core - the fingers of quality inspectors can sense the thickness of yarn, the eyes of experienced craftsmen can judge fabric defects, and the creativity of designers turns yarn into art.

Labor brings warmth to the yarn.
